Thermal imaging with a 640 × 512 sensor

The Omni H35R uses a 640 × 512 thermal sensor with a 35 mm F0.9 objective, providing 2× base magnification and adjustment up to 16×. Its field of view covers 21.9 × 16.5 m at 100 m, giving a defined area for searching and following subjects within the thermal scene.

NETD ≤15 mK supports the display of small temperature differences, while the thermal channel operates at 50 Hz. The stated detection range is 1800 m for a 1.7 × 0.5 m target at P(n)=99%. This is a detection specification, rather than a stated identification distance.

Digital detail and infrared illumination

The digital channel combines an 8192 × 6144 sensor with a 50 mm F1.8 lens, providing a separate view for examining visible detail. Magnification extends from 3× to 18×, with day, dusk and night modes available as lighting conditions change. Exposure and saturation adjustments allow the digital image to be set independently of the thermal view.

An 850 nm IR illuminator is included with the H35R. Its low, medium and high output settings provide control over infrared illumination during digital night observation. The illuminator is removable, and the binocular also supports an interchangeable 940 nm unit. Settings for each imaging channel are retained when switching views.

Viewing controls and distance measurement

Separate thermal and digital focus wheels allow direct adjustment of the active channel. The central zoom ring changes magnification, while electronic image stabilisation supports steadier handheld observation. A 1600 × 1200 AMOLED display presents the image through eyepieces with 25 mm eye relief, individual dioptre adjustment and adjustable spacing.

The integrated Class 1 laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1000 m and shows readings within the viewing interface. Single ranging provides a one-off measurement, while continuous modes update the distance over a selected period or remain active continuously. Ballistic calculation is supported, making distance and ballistic reference information available during observation.

Recording and power in the field

Photographs and video are saved to 64 GB of internal memory, with optional sound recording and an onboard gallery for review. Wi-Fi links the binocular to the NocPix app for live viewing and control. N-Link supports image and range data sharing between compatible devices.

Power comes from an internal battery and two replaceable 18650 cells. Maximum runtime is 7.5 hours at 22°C, depending on function use. USB-C accepts external power and charges the internal battery; removable cells charge separately. The IP67-rated housing incorporates a tripod connection for stationary use, and the supplied portable bag and neck/shoulder strap provide carrying options.
